Horrocks is a small beachside 'town' that was recommended to us by other 'gey nomads' for a couple of day stay. Its just past Northampton, which again is a small town. We rock into Horrocks, but blimey it really is small. It has one shop which doubles up as the General store, take away, post office and petrol garage and then theres the camp site and thats it !!!! thats Horrocks. Anyway we get a nice pitch, under a large tree, the area it backs onto the main road into Horrocks but we are told its 'no worries cuz there is not much traffic'....
Here come the piccies....
All set up in Horrocks, have to say they do lovely wedges and sour cream and chilli dip at the general store .....and John said their calamari was great too..
our little island in the sun.
The view across the main street in Horrocks..
How funny is this ....
A view across Horrocks Bay.
Beautiful..... wish you were here.
No John you cannot have a 'tinnie'
Windswept or what???
Northampton Church and school. we went to a summer fete here, so cute, it had about 8 stalls. We ate Lamb burgers and salad, then walked into to town for latte and cream scones...(much to Johns disappointment the cream was out of a spray can.....). Northampton is a bit bigger than Horrocks, it has a supermarket, general store, garage and some antique and collectors shops, all very quaint...and pretty.
Back to the tent now as we are off the Shark bay tomorrow...
