6th -11th Aug The Eagles land, the stork arrives and all is well

Just a quick write up of the week...
Rockingham, Mandurah to collect my glasses (long story, wont bore you, but I get a free replacement......)
Wednesday johns goes fishing and I go off to the shops in Mandurah and then pick him up on the way back... All good..

We are still waiting for news on the new baby and the return flight details for Mike and Cheryl.

The phone goes and its Mike again, " good news.... we have booked flights and land on Saturday morning...bad news we land at 1.20am" 'No worries,' I reply, see you at the airport.


HE'S ARRIVED; George William Smith. Born 10th August 2012 at 11.55am, (uk time)

He looks so like Ollie.... handsome little chappy...

Mike and Cheryl are due today (11th Aug), house is all lovely, garden is good, everything is in hand, meal prepared and shopping done.  So its a late night for us and off to Perth airport we go again....we really are like locals now and people in the local shopping centre even say hello, especially the girls on the coffee bars...In fairness, Australians are much politer than brits and most people will say 'hi, how ya goin?'  even when they dont know you..but we have kind of settled here and got into a routine. But that will soon stop when we go back on the road, sometime next week.

We are staying on until wednesday as John is going to help Mike chop down some trees..Anyway, the flight lands, we are there, Mike and Cheryl come through the arrivals and peace is restored...so its back to the house and BED.
