22nd,Dec, Life's never dull, Rochdale

We're off to meet the people and the dogs for our last sit this morning, normally we only meet them the night before we take over and in the morning, they bugger off and leave us to it, but for some reason they want to meet us before they go. Fair enough, their house, their dogs, why not?

The couple are Bernadette and Brian, the dogs are Lucy (a dalmation) and Paris (a poodle) Bernadette and Brian seem to be a nice, down to earth couple, (she's a teacher, him a journalist) and we start by being introduced to Lucy who sees very pleased to meet us. Bernadette go's on to explain that Paris aint here at the moment, she's being kept in at the vet's co's a couple of day ago the two dogs had a bit of a spat and lucy chomped the front of Paris's face, breaking the face bone. The dog has now got it's face all bandaged up and will have to be fed through a tube, (by now I can see Lin thinking "Oh Fu*k!") But not to worry, ''Lucy is normally a very friendly dog and only go's ape sh*t over food''. This is because she has a heart problem, is on a strict diet and could drop dead at any moment and if she does, the neighbour knows where they want her buried. By now Lin's got this strange look on her face and I'm thinking Oh fu*k!. Turns out, both dogs are sh*t scaried  of thunder and could we check the weather forcast before we make plans to go out and leave um. All the talk of the dogs out the way, we get the run down on the house (a very nice house). Now the house is set on poles and in in a semi rural spot, on an acre and half of land, it also seems they get ''quite a few snakes here, but not to worry, most of um are pythons and don't bite'' (yea, right) but they do get the odd brown back and we're advised not to go down the end of the garden unless we wear wellies, but most of all, if we do find one, don't try to pick it up, (like thats really gonna happen).

As I said, This is our last sit before we come home. Looks like it could be one hell of a way to end a trip.

We went shopping on the way home, but after the mornings outing, it was just boring. ahhhhh.

John And Kira have a play when we get home...

Still playing......
