30th Dec, Dogs and Lamb, Alexandra Hills

So its up early, quick cup of coffee, brush our teeth and say our goodbyes at Rochdale south and set off for pastures new at Alexandra Hills.

We were asked to arrive by nine at the latest co's Brian and Bernadette want to make a move a bit early. We arrive at eight thirty so we can go through the routine and seem to surprise everyone at being so early....... The place is packed with family getting ready to go and we're in the middle.

Somewhere along the line, we're shown how to give Lucy (the nose crunching Dalmatian) her tablets, how to tube feed Paris (the nose crunched poodle),where we sleep, where the dogs sleep and all sorts of other stuff. Thank God someone had the sense to put it all on paper. These dogs take more tablets than most old people I know. Still, we like a challenge and we ain't lost a dog yet. Misplaced from time to time, but not lost.... Nine thirty and they're out the door and the place is ours.

All the important stuff comes out the trailer and off the bike. Right, off to do a shop, after all, its Sunday and while we're doing a sit, that means a roast. We get back right on time to feed Paris (for those who cant keep up, that's the poodle). Lin has a go at the tube feeding, which in all honesty is a doddle, apart from all the mucking about with syringes and tablets. As I watch Lin, I cant help wondering what would happen if I blew down the tube?, would the dog blow up like a balloon and float round the room, would it whizz round as I took me finger off the tube?. I got me answer when Lin got a bit of air in the syringe, the dog farted...... So much for that. Hmmm, wonder were I could find a cork.

Roast lamb for dinner and I've really got the hang of the ovens out here. If you want to know if it was good, just ask Lin... I say no more. Now we're fed, the dogs get another turn. So give Lucy her tablets then put her out, tube feed Paris and include tablets in the syringe. Keep Lucy outside and give her, her food..Now if we can just stop em from killing each other, this should make this last sit a breeze....

Lucy, Dalmation with severe heart problems and pancritus...

Paris (Hilton, she is not !!!!lol), Poodle, has to be tube fed and medicated every 4 hours...

No ... dont panic, she's just  asleep and yes she's given me a few heart attacks ... but she sleeps peacefully

One tiny part of the garden...

This sit is gonna keep us on our toes I just know it... but the dogs are good enough and the house is lovely, so fingers crossed theres no drama !

Hi to you all, hope you had a lovely chrissie and are planning a fab new year...I will give you all to new years night to break your resolutions.....lol xxx well am I right ???
