Up half the bloody night pumping up the sodding airbed. This thing must have a hole the size of the bleeding trailer, but do ya think I can find it?, not bloody likely. Anyway, once again we moan and groan our way out of the now pancake shaped mattress. Have a quick bite to eat and a coffee and start packing up the tent and a mammoth load of stuff onto the bike and trailer. (I'm sure its growing while we're not looking). Takes us about two and a half hours but finally its all away, tucked into every nook and cranny (some not even on the bike) and we're away. Now we got a bit of sun yesterday, well, a lot of sun to be fair and I'm starting to peel....... if that's the right word, I now look like a leaper with long bits of skin flaking off everywhere, me heads the worst and with a helmet on top, it feels like a head full of lice doing a Morris dance on me scalp. not easy to scratch through me helmet. Driving along, trying to rock me helmet from side to side, just to ease the irritation, just a little, Lin thinks I'm losing it and the jabs in the ribs are coming fast and furious, just as I'm looking for a place to stop and punch her between the eyes, she realises whats going on and ease's up.
We're heading for Inverloch today and have been told its only about a three hour drive. Bullsh**. Four hours and we guess we're lost. We find a garage and ask an extra from the Friday the 13th where the hell we were and how to get to where the hell we wanna be. "no worries mate, left, right, left, keep going", off we go again, rear ends getting sorer by the minute. More mountain roads, no straight bit longer than fifty feet and cant get a speed up over 35mph. An hour or so later we finally arrive at Inverloch. (Freddy was right), only to find it closed, well, most of it.. Lin on the phone, we at long last find a site to rest our weary flaking heads and almost in slow-motion, put up the tent and drag out the stuff. That done, its into town and just catch the pizza place before it closes. Full bellies and much happier, its back to the tent to blow up the bed yet again and see what tomorrow brings.
Love you all kids and Lin says we love our friends to, and I've got the bruises to prove it XXXXXX
All packed up and a quick pop in town before we are on our way to Inverloch, (the next stay)
The road ahead awaits us. nice and clear as most of them are. This is certainly a big country and most definatley gods land.
