Its our first full day on site. We arrived while it was raining and it looks like the showers will continue. We drive into the local shopping centre in Mandurah, just off the Pinjarra Road ( I sound like a local lol...) and get some well needed shopping and have a lovely beef roast (John has Pork and crackling) lunch.
We join the traffic as we leave the shopping centre, the road is quite busy and there are lots of really big puddles in the road, so I am keen to encourage the car behind not to drive to near or to fast by us, as we get bloody soaked!!!! every time. My gesticulating causes some giggles from the other car drivers as I seek to keep me and 'my driver' dry. My driver can't see my 'signage' to the other drivers so is not quite sure why all those going past keep smiling at him...
The camp has a decent kitchen with fridges/ freezer and microwave, BBQ's etc etc so really, we can buy what we want yum yum..... it also has a problem with mozzies, so they do drive us mad, but we work through it with some good numbing creams.. Fair to say they seem to like John more than me and on this occasion, I am OK with that choice...
Shopping done, tent tidy, coffee on and dinner ready, we relax and settle down for the night reading. The site owner has lent us a couple of garden chairs, heaven.... Its funny how you really miss the little things like chairs and are so grateful when people help you out. Unlike the last site, this is a well run and very clean and tidy site, so fingers crossed all will go well as we have three nights booked on here.
Not too much going on today, so bye for now, and love to all..
A view of the site....
A happy man with a chair for he and his 'lovely; to sit on.. lol. Beats sitting on the floor anyway..... And it surprises people with how we get these solid garden chairs on the bike or in the pod lol..... we do tell them... eventually hahahaha
