Well as usual the days roll by. The weather has been changeable ranging from blowie showers to warm sunny days and cool evenings. We have had to increase the bedding by a blanket, so the original sheet and one light cover has now been added too.
We've shopped, cut grass, cleared up Roo poo ( nice job!!!), cleaned and polished, done windows and most of all we have cooked and eaten lots. Especially as we are now getting used to the Aussie brands and whats where in what supermarket. The supermarket layouts are strange, strange, strange........ where you think something will be, it rarely is. So when food shopping you have to think outside the box.... and rethink where it should be. We also use a list as you easily forget what you want and where you think it will be. The shop aisle headers are not always helpful and its usually quicker to ask someone, customers are best, as a lot of the staff seem unaware of their own shops layout???? but hey ho, we are winning! We've got the meat side of things sorted, cuz I kid you not!!! the names we call various cuts of meat, is not the cut you get here. We have to be very selective about our meats and now I ask to see the joint its being cut from (before buying), so I can see what we are getting as we have had a couple of ropey joints.....
We also spent a day with Mike and Cheryl , the couple whose house we are staying at next. They are lovely people, both teachers with really good senses of humour. They live further up the coast in a rural bush area, in a lovely house, very different from where we are now, but never the less homely and large. So apparently (they tell us) we can expect lots of animals, including lizards, possums, insects and some other little/big beings..(I can't recall all the names)and presents from their cat who loves to catch birds and mice..(can't wait lol) and bring them into your bedroom in the middle of the night....OMG
Lennox (bless him) went surfing on Friday and got caught by a large wave which turned him on his side as he came into the beach. He seemed to be ok, let john check his leg, but over the weekend (despite still racing up and down the beach on the mornings in-between) he developed a limp. So we called the Vet and arranged to take him in. Oh what a darling, but boy did he squeal like a big kid when the vet pulled his leg out straight to check it. So he is now on a weeks rest, anti-inflamatories and lots of cuddles. We came back home and Lennox got told off by Kostyas no doubt for going out without him.... Not sure how Lennox will react in the morning when we and Kostyas go off to the beach in the morning..and leave him at home resting, but we will see how it goes..
I've been making cards for the girls, which apparently go down very well with all of them and also some other bits and bobs for the babies and Lily and Maddie (its in the post girls..). We've also had contact with all the kids and all seems well. So fingers crossed, life will roll on as it is.
And John, well John has been sorting out the service on the bike, he got that all done, only to find the front brakes also wanted replacing.. which he finished today.
The beach seems the same most mornings, the moon goes down to you guys and the sun comes up to us. We even had a rainbow yesterday morning... lovely....The beach is usually empty apart from three seats that has been placed there, very comfy I might add and if we had room we would give them a new home..... (on the bike hahahaha)
So as always there are more piccies for you to view and oooooo and ahhhhhh over. Enjoy
