Friday 2nd March, We arrive at Kingston Caravan Park, Kingston

Just as I got into bed last night and I got something in me eye,(Im putting this one down to them sodding ants) and it's bloody sore this morning. Still, we're wrapping up and moving on. The winds picking up a bit, so at least it should make the trip interesting.

We're heading off to salt creek and looking on the map, it seems like a bit of a shlep, but, hay, ho, nothing new. Right, we've packed up, had the bacon butties and off we go. Jesus, that wind really has picked up and it's blowing a gale, blowing the bike all over the place. If that aint bad enough, when a lorry go's by, it feels like getting a smack in the head with a pillow. Lin's arse has puckered up and taken a firm grip on the saddle, (I know this co's she's got her arms round me waist again.... ) and I can feel me own bum trying to learn the same trick. The roads round here are as straight as a dye and go on for miles and I'd love to open her up, but even though the speed limit is 110klm hr. My butt cheeks recon it's not a good  idea so instead, I pull her back to 90 and even less when a lorry go's past.

On we go for a couple of hours, clinging to the bike. So I recon it's time for a comfort break and pull into a rest area. Should have known better and get a whack for not taking a rest in a town, my idea of comfort break and Lin's differ a bit !!!!!, so I get another wack and we end up eating the cheese sandwedges we made before we left.  Half a flat cheese sandwedge, mouth full of water and a piddle in a bush later, we're back on the road.

We're just coming up to Kingston, and me eye starts playing up, it's watering so badly, I can't see out of that eye. Not to be out done, the other eye comes out in sympathy and starts watering to. I'm crawling along the road, looking for somewhere to pull in. Just as I'm about to give up and stop in the road, we pull into Kingston and the first thing we see is a garage, (there is a God) so in we go.  As I'm filling up the bike, (trying to look like I'm not crying about the price) Lins getting in the coffee and sorting out a table to check out the map, Bugger me, looks like we've got another 100klm + still to go and it's three o'clock.  Lin can't believe that, so she's off into the filling station to check and comes out not looking to happy. Right, on the phone and see whats what. Thats it, these are the nearist shops to salt creek and thats 110k away. What with me eye and no shops, looks like we're gonna book in here somewhere. It don't take Lin long and with the help of the campers bible, (sixty sodding dollars that cost) we' re soon booked into Kingston caravan park.  Just got the tent up and we hear "those are uk plates aint they??". Next thing you know, we've been asked over for a beer by Col (a big jock) and Sue (ozzy).

So it's into town to get the grub (and a couple of beers). Food cooked and eaten, beers in hand, we're off for our night out. We spent the evening gargling Coor's, (Lin done the coke) and righting the wrongs of the world and in all, had a good night.  As we left, Sue gave us their address and asked us to visit on the way round.  Looks like we have two new friends out here. With that, we stagger (well I do) back to the tent, for a good nights sleep and rest me watery eye.

Ok, we are packed and ready to go, WE are on our way to Salt creek...

Trailer to attach and then we are off. Nothing left behind and do the golden campers check that says '' you were never there''

Not another flipping car in sight, just blue skies and 90 mile an hour cross winds......(and yes one could say that the pelvic floor exercise during this journey were fantastic!!!!!!)

Scenery....
