Saturday 3rd March, Kingston, the beach, the church and the lighthouse

We had a good evening yesterday and last night I payed the price. Twice I had to get up in the night to have a sodding pee. It aint as easy as it sounds. First I gotta unzip the sleeping tent, then gotta climb over Lin,(trying desperately not to wake her), Find a pair of shorts in the pitch black, Then gotta do the "one legged dance" trying to get a leg in me shorts while bending over in the tent, finding a pair of sandals is always a laugh, normally end up with one flip flop and a trainer, unzip the tent and duck out, trying to avoid guy ropes, the bike, next doors caravan and the trailer. (not always successful and end up going arse over tit). Its as black as hell out here at night, so even finding the loo's a bit of a challenge, Im sure one night Im gonna end up in someone else's caravan stood  there with me togger in me hand, peeing in a wardrobe when the lights go on (one way to meet people). So I find the loo and turn on the light and the dam thing's on a timer, so I whip the old chap out and point it the right direction, just as the light go's out. Great, now the outcome's anyone's guess. Much relieved, now I've gotta get back, If I end up in the wrong tent, Lin's never gonna believe it was a mistake, so I take very good care over this. Right Im back in, now I've got to go through the one legged dance in reverse, being very carful were I bend, co's them chairs are in here somewhere and I don't want no nasty surprises. Job done and off to sleep. Bugger me, an hour later Im doing the whole thing over again. No, having a pee at night aint easy.

Its Saturday and we're up about nine. It's a bit over cast, but we have brekkie and take a walk along the beach and into town. I would have called this a one horse town, but I don't think they've even got a horse, if they did, it f**ked off. Anyway we took a wander through. I can remember what Romford looks like on a Saturday and this aint it. All the shops ( all four of em) close at 1.00. So we stop and have a coffee and ice-cream and watch the world go by, (a car past). It just starts to drizzle, so slow walk back to the camp. It stops just as we get there.

Thats it, gonna bleed the breaks on the bike. Off come the panniers, off comes the panels, off comes the back box and it starts to drizzle again. Oh well, I'm waterproof, so I get on with it. All done, and the rain stops, great place this Ozz. Time for tea and over the kitchen we go. Done the chicken stuff that Billee likes so much and it came out quite well.  Just finished the washing up and Wonder woman txt's, so Lins off to find the laptop and for the next hour I can't hear myself think for all the nattering.  Billee comes on line for a bit of a chat, which really makes the evening. So ends another good day.

This is 'Long beach' (aptly named) its a tad overcast today, but still warm and still stunning. This beach runs the whole length of Kingston and then some...The water is as clear as glass for the first 100 feet as you can see..

Does anyone wanna come and get him????? lol..... helllllp

Long beach again and as usual its busy,..............

Kingston local church.

The road by the site, about as busy as the beach !!!!

Think I've showed this one before, but its a nice lighthouse...and right next to the camp site, so we can't get lost as long as we can see it (which you can from most of the town)
