Tuesday 20th March - Esperance, on the coast and back to civilisation

We have a lovely little caravan, (well it sleeps 5 actually) well, not so little then...... We are having a hot meal again today as I am cooking spag bol.  Its funny how the same brand we buy at home tastes so different out here. Food seems to have a sweet edge out here????? Anyhow spag bol it is.

Esperance is a lovely little town, right on the coast, it entered the cleanest town last year and won an award. Its a bit like Kingston, but bigger. Lots of tall fern trees line the esplanade and a sea lion swims in each day to nick the fisherman's bait lol!! we saw him, he was large (the sea lion) and apparently can be quite aggressive, so theres no swimming when he's around.

We decided not to use the bike today, I am pleased as John needs a rest from all the driving. We've nearly covered some 3000 miles since arriving in Feb, not bad for too old 'codgers!!!!!!  We walked into town from the camp and spent a couple of hours just wandering, chatting and having a coffee (latte of course) and people watching (which we have become very good at!!)  I had a good nose round the local 'OP' shop i.e. charity shop and bought a handful of buttons lol.....We found the local cinema, and as there a 3D film showing later tonite, we decided to come back after dinner and see 'John Carter' of Mars.
It was a disney film, but actually not bad, bit cheesy in places but quite a good story line.. and there was at least 8 other people watching it with us hahahaha, its soooo busy out here.

Well off to bed, the day is over. We've walked into town and back again and then back into town and back to the caravan again after pictures,

Poor John has blisters on his feet as his cowboy boots have rubbed his soles! ahhhhhh

looks lovely and picturesque - very clean too. I would find it difficult to move on.. mind you with Johns new form of transport - you would be able to walk faster anyway lol.
