Sunday 4th March, Kingston.,,,,Just another lazy sunday afternoon

It's sunday and we're in Kingston. If Saturday was their busy day, we should be in for a treat today. I know most people like to take it easy on a Sunday, here they practice being dead and I can begin to see why the horse f**ked off. (one horse town... horse f**ked off.... Oh, never mind). I got to admit, it's peaceful here, just the birds singing, (just like Lin) and the sound of the surf.

The camp is ultra clean and tidy, one of the best site's we've stayed on. The water's odd out here and it's taken a bit of time for Lin and me to get out heads round. Theres bore water, which is used for washing, showers and as long as it's boiled, cooking. Then theres tank water, which is full of minerals and drinkable and when they say you s**t a brick, you really do. I've taken to wiping me arse with a brickies trowel, not as comfortable but saves on paper. (I like to do my bit for the environment ).

Anyway, brekkie and a tidy round, time for a walk along the beach, just to The
point and back. Well, it didn't look that far when we started. when we look round, the lighthouse just outside the camp, looks like a pimple .........in the distance and now we gotta walk back.

Sod this sand lark, its bloody hard going (and Lin can't find any shells), so we walk back to the road and slag off the houses on the way back, aint no two houses the same out here. Some look like the builder built in the crease in the drawings, others are out of this world, but of course, we wouldn't have em co's the bushes on the other side of the road hide the sea. Well, it seems to make the walk home quicker. We're home, just in time to sort out tea, chill out and do a bit of reading before bed.


This says it all really, one chair on the beach and NO ONE sat on it or in sight !!!

WE were told that lots of people buy their retirement homes here and then just leave them empty till they are ready to retire... Well theres no argument with that theory, cuz their is hardly anyone here..lol...
