24th June- Jurien Bay- A long red path and fish and chips.........

Well, what a change in the weather, its Sunday morning, the sun is shining, the beach looks lovely so we take a walk down the path to Jurien Bay Marine Park. It seems to go forever , this winding, red bitchimum path. Does it lead to the Wizard of OZ???? who knows. Anyhow we get about half way down and decide that lunch is required, so we turn round and walk back and have fish and chips in the camp cafe. Very nice too !!!.although not cheap, the lady behind had a caesar salad and promptly counted out its contents, 6 cos lettuce leaves stood round the edge, a chopped lettuce leaf in the bowl, a hand full of croutons, a sprinkle of parmesan and a drizzle of caesar salad dressing, she reckoned it cost about a dollar to make and they charged her $17 (£12) (so I don't know what the mark -up is, but I'd rather be making it than eating it!!) and she was sat with the camp manager who was firing out last years figures, for all to hear...apparently the camp took $770,000 last year!! " no bloody wonder" said the lady......

We decide to walk down to the pier to walk the dinner off, and a couple sat on a bench start to talk to us, apparently they have the caravan next door to our tent. Cant tell you their names , how bad is that ? !!!! but we had a good old chin wag and gathered a few more tips on what places to see and what to miss....
