3rd and 4th June , settling in on the 'farm' lol.....

Hello again....., well here we go, Chickens to feed, Dogs to feed and walk, Rabbits to feed and a wormery to take all our veggie cuttings to keep full.... what more could we ask for???.  No alarm to wake us up, but we are up and breakfasted by 9am so its off to the beach with the dogs Tori and Dozer (or Dozie as I call him, say no more!!!!) What is it about staffs that make them want to drag you round all the time???. By the time this 'sit' is done, John will be walking like an orang-u-tan.... lol...still they are both lovely (yes John too!!) and the walk along the beach is great. There are about 9 adjoining beaches but only a few allow dogs, so we have to pick the doggie ones carefully as it $100 on the spot fine if you caught on a 'no dog' beach.

Everyone seems to be out either jogging, walking or walking the dogs and the kids... The sun is shining and all is well. We walk around 5km and decide to turn round and walk back, the dogs have to understand the message that they have to walk by us and not drag us, so things are settling on that count. Back at the house we tidy up, shower and start to potter. I can't believe how much I miss housework ( I know sad!), so out comes the cloths, the window cleaners, the broom ... In next to no time the windows are shining, the shutters shiny, the drive swept and the front tided. It looks a picture.... what can I say??. John is sorting out the animals generally and the back area so overall we keep nice and busy.  Its all part of the house sit deal in that you keep the house tidy...The chooks(Chickens to you) have laid 1 egg between them, so I have words and remind them that we expect 3 'happy eggs' each day (lol) whats the use of one???, I don't like sharing my breakfast...... hahahaha.

We have decided to name the chook's Kouy, Roxanne and Billee-Jean (Here you go, our girls!!!!!)

Here are the rabbits, we have not seen this style of housing before, but apparently its the norm. It does mean they are never in their own mess and they do get to go into a run.....they seem happy anyway. (The black tubing by the way is online fresh water directly into each cage....).

Heres the dogs, Tori (The red Heeler) and Dozer (The staffie), The big bird is ME!!!!! ( thought I would say that before you lot did!). If you have not heard of a Red Heeler, they are cattle dogs.....this one is lovely and believes that the staffie is her pup...ahhhhhh, she is very gentle and he (Dozer) is lovely, but rarely on all four paws... John is working on that one !!

Its bank holiday monday here too as its 'Foundation day' everyone is up and out on the beach and in the park, so we are up breakfasted and again on the beach walk for just around 9.30. We decide to do a right at the beach road this time and its equally as scenic and leads down onto the esplanade at Safety Bay.
It never ceases to amaze me how big this place is....the coastland and beaches go on and on and on....After the walk its back to the house and out on the bike to check out the local shops. Its not far, so we pick up a few bits and find a nice patisserie(yes Carol.. food again...) John is really into pies at the moment, his favourite being Chicken and Veg, so he downs a pie and a latte and I have a 'medium' sized fresh cream and jam doughnut.... lovely and a very tasty latte'.

Back to the house, tea over, TV watched (our favourite programme 'The block') and then into the hot tub in the garden to watch the Australian Voice competition... fab (yes the hot tub even has a TV). John and I are like a pair of prunes by the time we get out, still its been a lovely evening and now time for bed.

So its good nite from him and good nite from me.

Heres some piccies of the local area...so enjoy.

The esplanade in Waikiki..It all looks overcast, but actually it was really bright, warm, sunny and up in the 80's..... I think my IPod is just tired after taking nearly 3000 photos....which have been taken whilst riding the bike over 5000 miles (8000km) wow!!!!!! How lucky will you lot be when pop in to share them all with you.??......and don't think about moving and not telling us as we had trackers fitted to you all before we left hehehehehe.....

More piccies of the Esplanade

and more

Overlooking the bay at Waikiki beach..honestly not overcast, just taken at a dodgy angle, whilst trying to hold onto Tori at the same time...
