Bloody Hell, its like waking up in a sodding aviary, you wouldn't believe the noise the birds make round here and the buggers ain't got no sense of time. 5.00am and their going at it like its going out of fashion, not just a simple cheep, cheep, but the whole sodding thing, cheep, squark, coar, croak, whistle and I'm sure one of the bleeders barked. One good thing came out of it, at least we saw the sun rise.
Lin's booked a cruse on the lake today so we cant go to far. We just have a bit of breeki, chill out and catch up on a bit of reading. Cant get a phone or Internet signal out here, so the whole phone, chat, blog thing is put on hold, Lin don't like that and don't I know it. Finally its 2.15 and time to get on the coach. Would you believe it, we're the last ones on and been keeping everyone waiting. Considering it was parked right outside the tent, it took some doing, but us Brit's just gotta rise to the challenge. So after a whole five minute drive in a air conditioned coach, we arrive at the beach with the boat. On we all get and off we go. Now this bloke knows a bit about this lake and he's gonna let us know that he knows, so now I can tell you its as big as forty four Sydney harbours (I'm not to sure just how big Sydney harbour is) they were gonna build the dam there but then put it here and there's thirty two thousand croc's in here, so that should make the swim later a bit more interesting. out comes the nibbles and drinks and captain Ahab has done us proud, tea, coffee, juice, ice cold water, biscuits, brownies and cookies, I'm strait in and Lin's not far behind. Off we go again and the cap points out pelicans, croc's, rock formation, croc's, euros (like a mini wallaby) croc nests, Islands and more croc'c. All done he takes us off to the centre of the lake, tosses over the ladder and says OK, who's for a swim. Well, the sun's going down (suppose that's why they call it the sunset cruse) and us adults ain't daft, so we toss the kids in to see what happens..... nothing, so the the rest of us follow. Lin ain't going, (bugger) cos she cant see the bottom, but I'm game. In I go and its as warm as bath water, a few lenghts round the boat, (keeping an eye on the kids cos I recon their the ones they'll go first) and I'm out just in time for the second round of nibbles, cheese, dips, pate, nuts, chilled wine and ice cold beer. I like this man. Food ate and kids counted back on and its job done and we're heading for home. We get back just in time cos the restaurant is about to close, that was close, so its fish and chips just to make sure we go to bed feeling sick. Nite all
