19th Sept. Worry by the mile. Katherine

No need to pack, so a quick cupper and brush our teath and we're out the door, the birds aint to loud here which is suprising, cos the trees are filled with white cockatoo's, well, their suposed to be white, but that red dust gets everywere so they end up a bit pink.

Katherine's our next stop or should have been, 75klm out and the bike does its impresion  of the dying swan and cuts out again. So its not bad fuel (topped up in the roadhouse) and Im getting a spark and all I can do is stand there and scratch me head. Loads of encouragement from Lin, but even that dont work. Wiggle this, kick that, turn the key and bugger me off she go's. No waiting around, back on the bike and we're off. 10klm later, guess what?. Sod this, this is getting boring. This keeps up till we finnaly make it into Katherine.

Right, Find a campsite, get settled in and I'll pull the bike apart tomorrow, its got to be something simple. Pleeeeeeease.

So the tents up and we take a look round. The shower turns out to be a coragated tin shed which the water just runs out underneath, one loo, (two in the ladies) and a urinal, not great by a long shot, which is odd cos the rest of the site is really nice and looks like its been fitted into a forest. Well what do you know? we finally get a signal on the phone and wi-fi, so as Lin heads for the pool, I settle down to catch up on about five days of this thing. It might only take you ten minutes to read, but sodding hours for me to type. SO READ SLOWLY.

We arrive safely in  (Knotts River Crossing resort)Katherine and its tent out, tent up and sit down for a quick relax. Ruby is gonna get a full overhaul tomorrow.

'Home sweet home' and we only have about 8 weeks of 'actual' camping left.... and this tents been great, but its getting left here in oz when we are done, so any takers?????
