A quick brekkie, showers and off into town. Now this ain't the biggest town we've been in, but it ain't the smallest. Its got about a dozen shops including a bakery, op shop, garage and a SUPER I.G.A. who could want for more?. We check out all the shops and top up on supplies, Lin wants to see the singing ship, which turns out is on top of a hill just at the end of the shops, so off we trot. When we get there, there's a couple pushing a buggy up the side of the grass hill, getting dive bombed by a pair of birds, we can see the top of the singing ship and realise we've got to go up too. No problem, we use the couple with the kid as a diversion and sneak up the other side. I've got to admit, the ship was quite clever, A concrete boat with a giant wind chime that sort of went Whooooo, Whoooo, Na, cant type a sound. Just try to imagine a poof on speed........ Yep, now ya got it. OK, so that's the singing ship crossed off the things to do list, now we've got to get back down pass them bleeding birds. We get half way down before the little sods start, Lin breaks into a trot and starts going into competition with the poof on speed (singing ship) and I notice one bird sitting in the grass, I step over, the bird takes off and shows me a clutch of four green eggs, now I've got to get a photo, not very clever really, I bend over to take the shot and whack!, I get a smack in the ar*e from one of the birds. That's me lot, so rubbing me rear I'm heading off back down the hill. Hope you lot realise that me and Lin risk life and limb trying to get a decent pic, JUST FOR YOU.
Back at camp, we unpack our goodies and settle in for a peaceful afternoon of doing lots of nothing. (Lin's got this chilling thing right off and is turning it into an art form) Bums just hit seats when our friends pop over and ask if we would like to go to the pub for dinner tonight. Lin jumps straight in with a quick 'yes', (she'll do anything to get out of washing up) and I got to admit, a three course meal for twelve bucks appealed to me. Six o'clock came and Lyn and Dave, along with our other two friends (see, we have got more than one) picked us up and off we went. The pub was huge and modern, the food was good and plentifully, all in all, we had a bloody good night.
Dont know what butterfly this is but it was lovely, massive and had landed just outside our tent...
These are frangipans.....love these flowers..soooooo pretty x
The singing ship, you can actually here it in the town centre... even though its right on the edge of the town on a cliff top...
I asked the lady with the buggy to take a photo of John and I... have you seen the state of my bloody hair.. dont think I'll ask her again !!! lol
